“All of the principal singers are excellent in this 2009 Turin Opera production of composer Francesco Cilea and librettist Arturo Colautti’s much-loved retelling of the love and intrigue that killed French actor Adrienne Lecouvreur in the Paris of 1730.”–John Terauds, thestar.com

Today I finished reading Oprah: A Biography, by Kitty Kelley. It took me about five weeks to read it, and so I guess I’d have to say I didn’t find it a page turner, but it was interesting enough that I did get through it.
I recently finished reading Losing Mum and Pup: A Memoir, by Christopher Buckley, a book about his interaction with his parents, William F. Buckley Jr. and Patricia Taylor Buckley, during their last illnesses and death. It was a pleasant quick read. Good for reading on the commuter train or for outdoor reading in the warm weather.
